This wasn’t just a passing remark from Jobs either. He shared in an interview how he and his family spent two weeks discussing which washing machine and dryer to buy. The decision came down to a trade-off: American machines or German-engineered Miele appliances that used less water, treated clothes more gently, and lasted longer.
Jobs saw something deeper in Miele – a company that had truly thought everything through. He admired the design, the engineering, the user experience — all things he demanded of Apple products.
