The Environment

JTM Service is committed to minimising the impact of our operations and services through the adoption of sustainable practices and continuous improvement in environment performance. Our Environmental Policy sets out this commitment and the principles in which we implement our policy.

There are a number of ways we are able to demonstrate this, for example:

  • We are ISO14001 certified which demonstrates enhanced environmental performance.
  • Waste generated by JTM Service is minimised and our policy is to reuse and refurbish before recycling.
  • Waste that cannot be reused is recycled and we aim to send 0% to landfill.
  • We work with partners who share our belief and commitment, like Miele Professional. Their machines are built to last longer than competitors (30,000 cycles – which means replacing them less with lower disposal costs), and they use less water and less energy.
  • We work in partnership with MoreTrees to plant trees across the world to restore healthy forests and sequester CO2.

We continually look for ways to improve environmental performance.

All matter of Corporate Social Responsibility and good governance are considered and supported across our business.

  • Business Ethics, Transparency and Good Governance – we are committed to conducting business is an open, honest and ethical manner. Integrity is one of our Values and it is enshrined in all that we do.
  • Health & Safety – we protect the health & safety of employees, customers and everyone affected by our activities. We will not compromise on health and safety, and we are ISO45001:2018 certified.
  • Employee Relations – we ensure all employees are treated fairly and with dignity and respect, and that diversity in the workplace is embraced.
  • Anti-Bribery – we conduct our business in an honest way, without any corrupt practices or acts of bribery to obtain an unfair advantage.
  • Modern Slavery – we aim to promote equal opportunities for all, we consider all matters of modern slavery and have a clear policy to ensure this, and we collaborate with partners who are committed to transparency in their supply chain.
  • Charity – we have a chosen charity that we fundraise for each year, and we support and contribute to good causes to have a positive impact.
