We recently published an article about Miele’s Professional sustainability journey over the past 124 years, and how we share the same ethos at JTM Service. We will be celebrating this as part of our recognition for Earth Day which is on Saturday 22nd April. This is an annual event to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
We believe we are all responsible for protecting the planet, and we demonstrate this in a number of ways, for example:
• We are ISO14001 certified which demonstrates enhanced environmental performance
• We work with partners who share our belief and commitment, like Miele Professional
• We work in partnership with MoreTrees to plant trees across the world to restore healthy forests and sequester CO2 – see our virtual forest here
JTM Service have planted 260 trees since December 2022 which means we will sequester an estimated 78 tonnes of CO2, which is equivalent to 190,554 miles in a standard car. This mileage is equivalent to the following distances:
• From Land’s End to John o’Groats 218 times
• From London to Sydney 18 times
• Round the earth 8 times
• 80% of the way to the moon
We are proud of our own sustainable journey, and we are committed to continuing to develop and enhance what we do so we can contribute to environmental protection.
