Miele was started in 1899 by Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann, with a guiding principle of “Immer Besser” – Forever Better. They introduced the Model A washing machine in 1903, and developed their first commercial washing machines and tumble dryers in 1925.
In the early years, Miele’s machines were primarily powered by gas and coal. Whilst the machines are very different today, the guiding principle of Immer Besser has not changed!
