We got the team together for our company meeting yesterday, and we started, as always, with breakfast butties – they went down particularly well on a cold, frosty morning! We had the usual combination of updates, laughs and prizes, and we got to celebrate Leanne Davies’s 20 year anniversary with JTM Service.
Leanne Davies
In August 2004, Busted were at number 1 with Thunderbirds Are Go, and The Bourne Supremacy was the top film in the UK. But more importantly, Leanne Davies started at JTM Service, and it was great to have the opportunity at our company meeting yesterday to celebrate Leanne’s 20th anniversary!
Now our Finance & Admin Director, Leanne has played a huge part in our growth and development over the last 20 years. She is a very caring person, at work and outside of work – for example she is a Mental Health First Aider at JTM Service, and outside of work she is a Samaritan – and we are looking forward to working with Leanne for the next 20 years!
Updates and Prizes
We discussed:
- Our successes and developments over the last 12 months, including a record year for JTM Service, as well as the challenges we have faced.
- How we pride ourselves on giving the best customer service, and how this is backed up by customer feedback. One recent review described changing from another supplier to us as like “Night and Day”, and that they “highly recommend” us.
- Our Values and why they are so important to us. The team gave examples of how we have demonstrated Our Values (Heart, Drive and Integrity) – by finding a way to get the jobs done, doing what is best for the customer and owning our mistakes and learning from them.
- Our ‘Rocks’, which are our quarterly strategic objectives. This quarter they include identifying future structures and resource requirements, improving internal communication, and retention and engagement of key people.
- The introduction of our latest additional staff benefit, with private healthcare for all staff to be rolled out from 1 January.
- New starter – we welcomed Ben Donaghy, our new BDM, to the team.
- The renaming of our monthly company newsletter to “The Washing Spun Post” – and we awarded a prize to Mark who had suggested it. He was delighted with his £50 voucher, but was less bothered about the box of dishwasher tablets!
And Finally…
And finally, we played Spin The Wheel. We ask people to nominate colleagues for doing great work and living our Values. At each company meeting, we put the names into a hat, and anyone who’s name is pulled out gets the chance to Spin The Wheel and win a prize. The prizes won this time included a Bannatyne Spa Day For 2 and a Tesco Value Meal Deal!
It was a fantastic meeting with the team as always. Go Team JTM Service!
