What is your role?
Sales & Installation Administrator
What does your role involve?
I see an order through from start to finish – I arrange for a site survey to be done, send a quote to the customer, input the order onto the system, order the machine/s with the supplier, take delivery of the machine/s and arrange an installation date with the customer. I also complete site survey forms for Miele national accounts, manage incoming leads, offer maintenance plans to customers and arrange gas safety checks that are due.
When did you join JTM Service?
I joined JTM Service in September 2023.

What did you do before you joined JTM Service?
I worked at Sherborne Upholstery in Bradford for 20 years in the customer service department. The company changed a lot in my last couple of years there so when redundancies were announced I volunteered to take it. I was very scared and apprehensive after spending half of my life at the same company but making the move to JTM Service has been the best thing I have done.
Has anything changed at JTM Service since you started?
JTM Service were in the middle of getting a new computer system when I started so, just as I learnt the old way, I was learning the new way. But so was everyone else which made it easier. And as the company has grown, the team has also grown.
Has your role changed since you started?
Yes, I have taken on more responsibility with the Miele leads and the web/phone leads that come in.
What do you enjoy about your job and JTM Service?
I love everything about my job. I like to be busy and I love a challenge. I am learning more and now manage site surveys. The best thing about JTM Service is the people. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and I am so proud to be part of the family.
Do you have a nickname at work?
Yes, my nickname at work is Mama Seal! I once passed comment to the installers that my youngest son had a terrible barking cough and sounded like a baby seal and that has been my nickname ever since. I don’t mind it; in fact I quite like it!
What are you most proud of?
I am the most proud of my children, I have two sons, Lewis and Elliott. Lewis studies Maths & Statistics at Oxford University and Elliott has just got a joinery apprenticeship with Leanne’s husband Guy. I couldn’t be any prouder of them both.
What is the best holiday you have ever had?
The best holiday I had was Florida with my family, we had the most amazing time. Watching the boys meet their favourite Disney characters was so special and I also got to dance with Cinderella!

Is there anywhere you would love to go on holiday and why?
I would love to go to Italy, it looks beautiful and I am sure the food will be amazing! We are going on a family holiday in Wales and are going to Portmeirion for the day. Portmeirion is referred to as ‘Little Italy’ so that will have to do for now until I get there one day.
Can you tell us an interesting fact about you?
One interesting fact about me is that I have swum with dolphins in Florida, it was an amazing experience and something I will never forget.
I have also done parasailing in Benidorm which was not as amazing and unfortunately something I cannot forget. Getting on a boat sounded easy enough, then we were informed that we actually had to swim out to our boat which was quite far out in the sea and then swim back afterwards, never again but at least I can say I did it!
Do you have a funny story about you?
I booked last minute tickets to take my son to his first concert to see The Weeknd at Etihad Stadium, I could only get two seats at either end of a row and hoped if I asked nicely people would all move across a seat for me. When we arrived, the row we were on was actually split by a tunnel so we were nowhere near each other! We sat together until the solo person arrived to sit next to Lewis, I had a chat with the lady and explained she might be happy to swap seats with me as I was sitting next to Maria from Coronation Street! She screamed, hugged me and skipped off to her new seat. She was happy to be sat with a soap star, and I was happy to be sat with my boy!
What are you looking forward to?
My family and I are planning to climb Snowdon when we go to Wales, this isn’t something I ever thought I would want to do but I am going to give it a go and will be proud of myself if I get to the top, without getting on the train halfway up!
