How long have you been at JTM Service?
I joined JTM Service over 10 years’ ago, in November 2014, as Installation Engineer. I did leave in 2022 and missed it too much, so I came back at the start of 2023!
What is your role?
Senior Installation Engineer & Workshop Supervisor
What does your role involve?
Whatever is required! The priority is meeting our clients’ needs. We install commercial laundry equipment and dishwashers, including duct work, some plumbing, gas work and certification when required (I am Gas Safe certified). I like to think I bring customers’ joy! I take great pride in what I do, it is really important to me to understand what a customer needs, to help them achieve it, and to get them up and running with their new equipment.

How has JTM Service changed since you first joined?
It has changed in many ways! Paul joined as MD in 2020, and Matt stepped up to Operations Director more recently, and JTM Service is a much clearer and more organised company. It was good before, but it just keeps getting better, planning is better, and we have more tools to get the job done. I am supported and trusted, and if we identify an opportunity to improve, our approach is to make it happen.
I feel JTM Service gives us more, and in return we give back more. I get appreciation, I am listened to, and I am thanked. I also have the chance to continue developing and am delighted to have been promoted to my new role in October 2025!
What do you enjoy most about your role and working for JTM Service?
Variation. Every day is different, no 2 days are ever the same. And the company appreciates and values me.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love spending time with my partner and son, doing things like camping and caravaning. I have been with my partner, Sam, for over 20 years, and we have a son, George, who is 9. We also have a sausage dog (Stanley), a tortoise, a lizard and 2 guinea pigs! Still not as many pets as our Finance Director, Leanne!
I love DIY so am always doing jobs at the weekend – if not at my house, then often at relatives. It’s similar to being at work, just without the pay!
What are you most proud of?
My family, Sam and George. And also owning our first house. It was a big achievement for me and Sam, we always wanted our own home, we saved up and finally bought one. We are a really tight family, and we love our little set up, and if it needs any repairs, I happily do them.
What is this about a caravan you rebuilt?
We wanted our own caravan, and a couple of years ago a friend gave us their old caravan, which was in need of some renovation! I ripped it out and rebuilt it and kitted it out, and we then had 2 fantastic holidays to Lincolnshire first and then to Devon. We’re looking forward to more holidays in it in the future.
