What attracted you to join JTM Service?

The good reputation JTM Service has within the laundry industry and the fact that JTM Service are very service led and genuinely does right by the customer which makes selling the services we offer a lot easier and with a clear conscience that we can back up what we say. It’s also a very close-knit team and there’s lots of support if you need it.

What does your role involve?

Being the first point of contact for a new customer and guiding them through the sales cycle, ensuring we match the product and service to their needs. Key to this is establishing and building new and existing customer relationships and liaising with the service team to ensure good aftersales support and service.

How have you found it at JTM Service?

I have really enjoyed my time so far. It’s been a busy few weeks with site visits, care shows and customer meetings, everyone has been helpful, and it genuinely feels like I’ve worked here for longer. I’ve shadowed one of our engineers, Nathan, on a few visits and gas safety checks, it’s refreshing to see the time he takes on every job making sure it’s done to the highest level and does his jobs with pride which I think is what sets JTM Service apart from its peers.

What do you enjoy about being a BDM?

I love sales and the buzz of winning orders, but what goes with that is meeting new people and problem solving, whether that’s with machines specs or different finance budgets and how the customer wants to pay for the goods or service. I’m very consultative in how I sell, so showing a bit of personality and establishing a good relationship helps when it comes to presenting options to customers.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I have 2 daughters, and we love to travel. This year we have been to Jamacia, Corfu, visited the acropolis in Athens and the pyramids in Giza. My youngest only made it to the top of the acropolis because I told her there was an ice cream van there!

 Any interesting fact about yourself?

I’m a Scouser who lives in Manchester! And I was once a painter and decorator long before sales.
