How has JTM Service changed in that time?

The biggest changes have come on the management side of the company. Everyone’s ideas and opinions are listened to and taken into account. You really feel like part of a family unit as opposed to just being a number on the books.

The best changes to have come in from an engineer’s point of view is new vans with air conditioning (especially during last year’s heatwave!) and the change from light blue shirts to the current polo shirts we now wear.

What do you enjoy about your job?

I enjoy a challenge and something that gets my brain going. I much prefer the problem solving and diagnosing of machines rather than carrying out general services and routine maintenance. I also love the freedom we have with planning our days around the jobs we have. I love driving so I enjoy the days that I get sent further afield and get to see different places all whilst doing my job.

What do you enjoy doing out of work?

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my partner and our little boy. Taking him out and seeing his little smile makes the hard work through the week worthwhile. I also love putting my hands to anything, so working through the never ending list of jobs and diy projects my partner gives me keeps me busy on my days off.

Any interesting fact about you?

I don’t have time to do anything out of the ordinary with all the projects my partner gives me!
